Winter Warmers - Tuesday 13th January 2009
Let us show you how to cosy up over the winter period with some fine comfort foods. In association with Harvey’s Organic Butchers, we will take you through a fantastic meat and game tasting session.
Join Harvey’s Butchers owner, Nigel, as he discusses organic meats and game while demonstrating some valuable tips and tricks. We will show you some excellent wintery dishes worth trying at home, using some favourite (as well as unusual) cuts of meat to create delicious heart-warming fare.
Book soon to avoid disappointment!

Local Life: Celebrating our Local Produce
Pears poached in ginger wine, succulent roast pork (with perfect crackling) and the freshest vegetables – mouth-watering stuff we know! All of this (and loads more) formed the menu for our Local Life event held on 27th September, where delicious foods from our local producers were the focus of the day.
Our Aga demonstrator, Mary Kemp, created an exciting menu, using the best ingredients from our local producers in her dishes. Flavoursome sausages from Heath Farm Foods, and pork from Harveys Organic Butchers proved to be the tastiest temptation for our visitors. Orchard Farm and Annas Farm Store provided us with the best, ‘packed with goodness’ fruit and vegetables.
From visiting customers, to producers and staff – everyone had an enjoyable day. By the close of the event we agreed that everyone had learnt about the benefits and quality of our locally produced foods.
